Come and Join Us!! - It is time to start planning your garden
Even though we are in the midst of winter, now is the time to start thinking about your summer garden. This is the time that seed catalog arrive providing tons of inspiration. Once you have decided on which plants you want - now is decision time. Do you want to buy the plants from a nursery or grow you own?
The use of a window does not provide enough light to adequately start seedlings. We will have a class on how to build your on light stand! This will help give you the opportunity to have more variety of plants or more of the plants that you love at a lower cost than those at a garden center.
Come and learn a cost effective method for growing more plants and make your yard beautiful!

This year the Southern District will host the State convention. We are still in the planning stage but several things have been decided so here is a brief update:

Where: Marriott Rockrimmon in Colorado Springs
Time: All day Friday and Saturday
Theme: Grow and Share Colorado
Dahlia tubers - over winter
We have had the first frost of the season. If you have dahlia tubers that you want to re-plant next year - you need to get them ready to winter over. John digs his tubers up and store them in a cooler in his window well!
